Comments on: Banshee Podcast Plugin

I’m trying Banshee for the first time, (I finally got fed up with what Amarok has been doing). I like the interface, and the Podcasting is nice, but there’s one thing I had in Amarok I can’t figure out how to make work with Banshee & the Podcasting pluging.

I want to be able to copy a list of unheard podcasts on my BlackBerry (easy enough to do) with a playlist so they play in the order they were published. The BB supports m3u playlists, and I’ve fixed the hal so it recognized the support, but I don’t see how create the m3u that will work on the BB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

KDE is ugly and untidy. It has the potential to beat gnome but hasn’t yet because it’s such a mess.

Banshee pretty much blows amaroK away now – the only think I can see missing is the ability to select a different location to save podcasts to.

I even competes with itunes for lack of the store and a PROPER “sync” feature with ipods/mp3 players. All they have to do is chat with a partner like 7digital or Amazon (both sell mp3 free of drm which is the most compatible format at the moment) and it’d be intense. It would be worth porting to windows even.

Showing my KDE bias once again, SuSE 10.1 has an Amarok 1.4 backport… I use it to get the NOA podcast, among others. At least KDE has podcasting support =}
