Going to Ohio LinuxFest!

Filed under: Events, Linux/OSS, Novell, SUSE — Ted Haeger @ 8:50 am

I will be going to Ohio LinuxFest, presenting on “Desktop Innovation at Novell” at 1:30pm in Ballroom 3.Special thanks to my Irish friend (and Novell Open Audio listener) Jorge O’Castro for putting in a good word for me.

The downside? My session is at the same time as the Internet’s Chris DiBona.

  1. Ted,
I have a solution to this. We’re having a TLLTS meetup on Friday night before the convention:

Chris DiBona and Jeff Waugh are dropping by to throw back a few. How about you guys arm wrestle with the winner being the sole speaker in the time slot. We could also have single elimination with Joe Brokmeier. I’ll propose it to him. I’m sure he wouldn’t have a problem with it.

  2. [...] Just a quick note to point out that Novell’s Ted Haeger, of the popular Novell Open Audio podcast, has been added to the OLF schedule — that was the last “to be determined” slot on the schedule. Ted will be speaking at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, in ballroom 3 on Desktop Innovation at Novell. Here’s the synopsis: Under the leadership of desktop Linux visionary Nat Friedman, the desktop engineering team at Novell are driving desktop Linux forward at a phenomenal rate. In this session, the host of Novell Open Audio, Ted Haeger, will discuss and demonstrate some of the latest innovations that Novell put into SUSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10, as well as some of the things that are slated for the much anticipated release of openSUSE 10.2 this winter.
